Accepting NC Clients

We are grateful to announce that we are expanding our therapeutic services to residents of North Carolina!!

Therapeutic Landscape| Sequoya employs a holistic approach to therapy. She is liberation and black feminist centered.

  • Sequoya is a Registered Yoga Practitioner (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. She practices hatha yoga, has certifications in restorative yoga and yoga nidra, and centers breathwork in her therapeutic approach. You can schedule a yoga or breathwork session here.

Specialty Areas| Sequoya initially started therapy with involuntary clients that were mandated through the courts. She has practiced with folks in the community, and while being in locked facilities. She supported children, youth, families, and women with a variety of challenges such as family dysfunction, the mental health impacts of criminalization, and various forms of violence.

Due to burnout, she took a break from involuntary settings, and since practiced solely with community based clients. Her specialty areas include C-PTSD and depression. She has also supported clients that are navigating life transitions and work/life balance, but now specifically supports those navigating relational trauma and racial trauma in workplace settings. You can learn more about Sequoya’s organizational work here.

Spiritual and Alternative Specialty Areas| Sequoya incorporates yoga and more specifically breathwork with clients. She has also utilized tools such as tarot, and culturally rooted practices from the hoodoo tradition. Sequoya has also supported folxs navigating religious trauma. You can hear more about Sequoya’s spiritual approach, through her podcast, the Reclaiming Soul Work Podcast.

Since 2020, Sequoya has also been training in psychedelic harm reduction and engaging in integration practices with psychedelics. She has previously offered a psychedelic integration circle for creatives and interested in expanding this offering to other communities. You can schedule an energy work session here.
